Steven Seeley is a senior at San Diego State University majoring in Classical Guitar Performance. He will receive his Bachelor of Music degree on May 19, 2019 and will be continuing his education as a masters student in August of the same year.

Steven didn't begin his musical training until he retired from Marine Corps in 2013, but has quickly proved himself to be a competitive asset in the realm of music performance. During his time as an undergraduate, Steven has been involved in volunteering with the San Diego Guitar Festival, where he worked his way up to the role of Logistics Coordinator after a full year of volunteering. He is currently involved with assisting the Artistic Director with the planning and development of the upcoming 2019 San Diego Guitar Festival.
Steven has had the privilege of studying with some of the world's best classical guitarists and guitar duos to include: Lily Afshar, Gohar Vardanyan, Shin-Ichi Fukuda, The Beijing Guitar Duo, and the Möller-Fraticelli Guitar Duo. Being exposed to such a high level of instruction at such an early stage in his academic training has had a serious impact on him as an artist, and as a performer. Steven's artistic and professional goals are to perform and teach all over the world, and stretch the guitar's horizons through working with living composers to create new and exciting repertoire that is representative of the modern times that we live in.
